If you're energetic, self-motivated, and ready to shape the future of banking technology, this is your moment. As a Senior Salesforce Architect, you’ll be the technical visionary and hands-on leader driving Capitec’s Salesforce Centre of Excellence. You’ll define and evolve the architectural direction, lead engineering efforts, and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, resilient solutions that power our banking ecosystem

**What You’ll Do**:

- Lead the development of Capitec’s Salesforce practice, including architecture, engineering, support, and delivery.
- Drive technical and architectural discussions, ensuring hands-on involvement in engineering tasks.
- Influence the strategic direction of domain architecture.
- Develop and maintain architectural components aligned with SDLC principles.
- Collaborate across engineering, architecture, and delivery teams.

**What We Are Looking For**:

- 8+ years of software development experience, including:

- Hands-on Salesforce Architect, with deep expertise across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and custom Salesforce development.
- Proven experience in designing enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions - scalable, secure, and aligned with agile delivery practices.
- Strong background in software engineering and systems architecture.
- Strong software engineering skills are a valuable asset. A background in development prior to working with Salesforce - especially experience with Java, Java Spring, or JavaScript is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce best practices, architecture patterns, and limits - including data modeling, sharing and visibility models, and performance optimization.
- Expertise in integrating Salesforce with external systems (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of DevOps within Salesforce: CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated testing, and release management tools like Github or Salesforce DevOps Center.
- Skilled at balancing hands-on solutioning with high-level architectural leadership.
- Excellent stakeholder management - able to engage and influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with security, compliance, and data governance within Salesforce.
- Experience with multi-cloud environments or enterprise-level Salesforce implementations is highly desirable.
- Salesforce certifications preferred (e.g., Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Application Architect, System Architect, or relevant specializations).
