Head: Cloud Center of Excellence

**Introduction**

Group Technology (GRIT) is on the journey of a cloud and business operating model transformation to meet the demands and the needs of a digital organisation (MMH). The cloud is an essential building block that aims to enable our business strategy. The Cloud Centre of Excellence comprises of the Cloud Business Office and the Cloud Platform Engineering capabilities.

The business office aims to mature the cloud maturity of the organisation through business engagement and strategic enablers such as strategy, transformation, architecture and governance whilst cloud engineering aims to enable implementation through automation and provide cloud service provider functionality to the group.

**Role Purpose**

We are seeking a Cloud Leader to lead our cloud transformation and operations.

The function will need to establish and agree bold objectives and principles to the same, and act positively to encourage the enablement of the workforce to adopt Cloud at scale and address and remediate any risks or blockers that arise in its course.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information systems, or related field
- Cloud certifications on AWS and Azure
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud computing
- 5 years experience managing teams
Application Development knowledge and experience
- Strong knowledge and Experience of cloud computing technologies such as AWS, Azure
- Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies and Devops/SDLC

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Lead the Cloud Centre of Excellence team and provide technical leadership and guidance to your teams (CBO and CPE)
- Participate in cloud communities that contribute to governance, strategy, operations, and sustainability of the cloud.
- Define the strategic direction of our cloud practice and develop and execute plans to achieve our objectives.
- Identify and evaluate emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing and recommend new solutions to enhance our services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Group Technology and Business to mature the adoption of the cloud through identification of new solutions, migrations, efficiencies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business, 3rd parties and vendors.
- Define and Develop principles of the cloud and the cloud strategy for MMH
- Set goals of cloud transformation together with the Group Technology Executive, Enterprise Architect and Group IT leadership teams
- Set the Objectives and Key Results for CCOE in line with the Cloud Strategy of the group and individual business units.
- Remove roadblocks in adoption across people, process and technology.
- Continuously develop and grow the talent pool for the Cloud Centre of Excellence Team
- Mature the adoption and usage of cloud computing through sustainable measurements.
- Manage Cloud Contracts, Cloud finance enablement and Cloud vendor engagement.
Establish regular communication cadence for different stakeholders - Executives, Business and IT leadership and development/engineering teams of past, present and future of the cloud journey.
- Ensure establishment of training and reskilling mechanisms available for the group through the creation of training and certification targets for the group.
- Align to security, availability, cost, and compliance objectives of the cloud.
- Define the guardrails and guidelines of the cloud.
