- BA Honours in Interior Design (NQF 8) or
- BSc Honours in Interior Architecture (NQF 8) or
- MTech in Interior Design (NQF 9) or
- MA in Interior Design (NQF 9) or
- M (Int) Prof (NQF 9) or
- M (Int) by research (NQF 9) or
- MTech in Architecture (NQF 9) or
- M (Arch) Prof (NQF 9) or
- MA in Design (UJ- Interior design specialization) (NQF 9) or
- Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education (NQF level 8) with an undergraduate qualification in the field of Interior design/architecture or Architecture.

**Work Experience**
- Interior Design/ Interior Architecture/Architecture studio experience
- Portfolio required to show example of work or a teaching portfolio
- Studio experience (3 years): Interior Design/Interior Architecture/Architecture
- Lecturing experience in Interior Design or Architecture
- Software experience: Sketchup. Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit
- The successful incumbent with Architect qualifications need to show an interest in Interior Design by means of a professional or teaching portfolio.

**Key Performance Areas**:

- Preparation and lecturing as per the Module Guide
- Teaching curriculum outcomes as per contract hours and stipulated per pre agreed timetable
- Briefing students for assignments and providing feedback in a timeous manner
- Presenting class marks and feedback to the Module discipline Leader and discuss appropriate interventions for improved student success
- Actively engaging with current trends in teaching an learning strategies within The IIE Vega environment.
