**Duties**

Take responsibility for operations planning
- Drive project objectives for each department.
- Formulate individual direct reports objectives in line with operational objectives.
- Monitor objective achievement by performing regular reviews.
- Supporting & providing assistance to all departments and individuals as required.
- Conduct advance quality planning exercises by analysing customer business requirements & Company business resources & processes to determine how best to set up 1.6 Company business processes to meet supplier specifications and customer demands

Budgets
- Based on annual operational objectives for each department & projects to be concluded, revise & approve department draft budgets initially as set by departmental managers.
- Finalize the operations draft budget & present this to the Regional Leader for approval.
- Monitor budget spending & initiate corrective action as required.
- Responsible for the Profit and Loss of the Plants

Take responsibility for manufacturing activities, ensuring that the customer requirements & quality standards are met timeously & cost effectively.
- Calculate & analysz various indicators affecting operations & implement corrective actions to meet the delivery objectives.
- Ensure resources (people & equipment) are available to meet customer requirements.
- Analyze production processes by validating & analyzing failures & implementing corrective action plans.
- Oversee the co-ordination & efficiency of departments / sections.

Ensure health, safety, security and plant maintenance regulations are adhered to
- Conduct regular housekeeping audits, analyzing results & implementing corrective actions as required.
- Evaluate requests for new machinery and advise to Plant Manager.

Manage & support the quality standards of the operation in line with the overall Management Systems
- Develop & maintain quality procedures & guidelines.
- Ensuring adherence to the quality standards & that procedures are maintained.
- Enforce corrective measures in case of deviations.

Manage & supervise department staff
- Ensure the correct supply of people with the appropriate mix of skills through involvement in the recruitment and selection process.
- Identify training needs for respective managers, supervisors & admin staff.
- Carrying out regular performance appraisals.
- Manage industrial relations.
- Set and ensure that operational targets are met
- Ensure the supply of material & human resources.
- Train supervisors.
- Measure output & generating reports.
- Enforce corrective measures in case of deviations.
- Control absenteeism & timekeeping.
- Ensure cost effective human resource & machine utilization.
- Planning, training, counselling & setting objectives for Departments.

**Experience**
- Degree in Technology Management/Engineering Diploma/Production Management Diploma
- 5 years in production Management position.
- 5 years automotive management experience
