**Qualifications and qualities of the successful applicant include**:

- LLB or B.Proc with minimum 6 years post article experience;
- Knowledge of the Debt Collectors Act, POPI, National Credit Act, ECT Act, Prescription Act and other relevant legislation;
- Negotiation & drafting skills and knowledge of SLA’s;
- Drafting of policies and procedures regarding compliance;
- Ability to Manage our external panel of attorneys;
- Excellent Interpersonal & Conflict Resolution Skill
- Extensive knowledge and drafting ability of contracts and other legal documents;
- Ability to integrate and be part of a management team;
- Must have own transport & be based in Potchefstroom;

**Requirements**: Ability to give sound legal advice in Debt Collection Industry and dealings with the Debt Collector’s Council. Providing professional and timely legal support to management. Providing proactive legal assistance and advice on various legal issues like commercial contracts, dispute resolution, regulatory issues, employment issues and corporate governance and compliance.
