Purpose of Position

Support the overall provision of Human Resources services in the following areas; Strategy alignment and implementation, policies and systems, culture and employee relations, manpower planning, training and development, performance management, employee wellness, compensation and benefits, applicable labour legislation adherence and Global HR alignment.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Assist with HR Strategy and Global HR alignment.
Assist in designing policies and procedures that adhere to relevant legislation.
Ensure all efforts are aligned to Vopak values and assist HR to drive the company culture and values.
Ensure compliance to Labour legislation.
Advise Management and enforce applicable legislation.
Facilitate Disciplinary enquiries i.e. Advise management and ensure that processes and decisions are fair and consistent.
Increase the understanding and effectiveness of leaders in delivering desired people outcomes via Human Resources policies/processes.
Keep updated knowledge of current industry trends, legislation and best practices.
Sourcing and onboarding of employees at all levels.
Manage recruitment process from inception to finalization i.e. MOCs for new recruits and exits.
Job descriptions - design, analyze with Line management, ensure that all employee have correct Job descriptions.
Manage SLAs with recruitment agencies.
Ensure the co-ordination with clinic and line managers relating to Employee wellness and incapacity management.
Assist with HR projects and initiatives aligned to company's strategic plan
Manage the Employee Wellness Programme and initiatives

Qualifications & Experience Required

Qualification Required

National Diploma/Degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology.

Experience Required

Min of 5 years' experience in HR generalist
Working knowledge of SA labour legislation
Working knowledge of HR Projects
