Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Baker to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in the restaurant industry and a passion for producing high-quality baked goods and desserts at scale. The Baker will be responsible for preparing cakes, pastries, and plated desserts for daily service and large-scale functions of 300+ guests, ensuring consistency, creativity, and excellence in every bite.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, pastries, and plated desserts for restaurant service and events.
- Scale recipes and manage production timelines for functions exceeding 300 guests.
- Maintain high standards of presentation, taste, and texture across all baked goods.
- Monitor inventory and place orders for baking supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and kitchen protocols.
- Assist with mise en place and contribute to daily kitchen operations when required.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Baker in a professional restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Proven ability to produce high-volume desserts without compromising quality.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient functionality, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work early mornings and flexible hours around event schedules.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Attributes
- Experience with plated dessert design and buffet-style presentation.
- Familiarity with local and international dessert trends.
- Passion for creating memorable guest experiences through food.
- Must have industry experience and not a home baker
