Business Control Manager

**Synopsis**
We are looking for **a Business Control Manager** to join a manufacturing company in Midrand, to ensure that all business processes are designed in such a way that they minimize the exposure of the business to any risk and to secure that they have efficient processes in place. The role will reports to Internal Control Head.
- Work together with the business to ensure alignment of processes to the Saint-Gobain Internal Control Reference Framework (ICRF) and Information Technology Automation (ITAC) reference framework.
- Improve the overall quality of business control in the Region
- Support businesses in achieving and maintaining an acceptable standard of business control environment
- Improve the knowledge of business control among all employees in the Region.
- Drive the standardization of processes, policies and procedures across the Region.
- Initiate process improvements to make best use of digitalization and automation to continuously improve our process.

**Qualification and Experience**
- Chartered Accountant CA(SA) with post articles experience in a manufacturing environment (3 years minimum) OR
- Chartered Management Accountant (CGMA) with post articles experience in a manufacturing environment (3 years minimum)
- Manufacturing Industry experience
- Exposure in Africa
- Very strong with Internal Controls and not Internal Audit
- Senior Stakeholder Engagement
- Management / Leadership skills essential
- Advanced SAP and SAP B1 experience
- Business Control experience
- Willingness to travel ravel to Africa at least 1-2 weeks a month

**Roles and Responsibilities** Business Control**
- Assist Saint-Gobain to minimize business/financial risks and protect assets, promote operational efficiency, ensure accuracy of records, and enforce adherence to policies, rules, regulations, and laws.
- Responsible to support businesses in yearly Compliance Statement Campaign as well as other Campaigns (e.g. Corruption Risk Mapping, Product Compliance)
- Responsible to develop a roadmap for business control for each country and its implementation.
- Regular visit to Saint-Gobain businesses to review processes and define relevant action plans together with local management.
- Compilation of site or country visit findings for presentation to management
- Archiving of all relevant work performed on ICRF kits.
- Participate in the review of policies, procedure, records, reports, operating practices, and documentation to ensure Internal Control compliance.
- Identify risks within said processes and implement actions plans with local management.
- Provide necessary guidance in SOD & UAR Management

**Process Improvements**
- Develop a set of basic procedures that could be commonly shared across the businesses with objective to ensure standardization across the Region.
- Benchmark existing processes in terms of risk minimization, efficiency and productivity and proactively process improvements.
- Participation to improvement projects, including leading projects related to efficiency and effectiveness of processes through Tableau, Celonis and Interact Action Plan follow up and Reporting.
- Follow-up of action plans relating to internal control from various sources (not limited to Audits, Business Control, Product Compliance, Corruption Risk Mapping etc.)
- Animate the Monthly Action Plan Follow-up from interact and essentials kit.
- Animate the Half-Yearly Action Plan Follow-Up campaigns organized by the IABC Department
- Prepare the Half-Yearly reporting on action Plan follow-up and internal audits.

**Organizational** Development**:

- Support the organization in development of business control related skills.
- Offer regular training and support to familiarize organization with Saint-Gobain Internal Reference Framework and existing tools.
- ICRF and Essentials Kit to be managed monthly.
- Responsibility to develop and upskill the direct reports in Business Control Team
