**Enrolled Nurse**

Innovation for the Blind, formerly known as the Institute for the Blind, is a programme of Badisa based in Worcester. We currently have a vacancy for an **Enrolled Nurse** at our care facility, Ebenhaezer, which provides services to residents with multiple disabilities.

This is a **full-time, on-site position** in Worcester. Working hours are **Monday to Friday, 07:00-16:30**, with a daily lunch break of 30 minutes. **The position also includes a shift every second weekend.**

**Minimum Requirements**:

- A relevant **tertiary qualification** in Nursing.
- Valid and current **registration** with the South African Nursing Council (**SANC**).
- A **valid** **Code B (formerly Code 8)** or **Code C (formerly Code 10)** **driver’s licence.** Applicants with a Code C licence must have a minimum of **three years’ driving experience**.
- A **valid** **Police Clearance or Name Clearance Certificate**, not older than six months.
- **Extensive knowledge** of **nursing** practices and general caregiving principles.
- **Comprehensive understanding** of **medication administration** and the safe use of medical equipment.
- **Fluency in Afrikaans and English**, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Nursing Care**: Provide holistic nursing and general caregiving support, assisting with daily routines and performing clinical observations, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
- **Administration**: Maintain accurate records, perform stock control, and ensure compliance with relevant documentation standards.
- **Electronic Reporting**: Capture and manage information using electronic systems (experience with information management systems, such as M-Files or comparable platforms, will be an advantage).
- **Self-Management and Development**: Engage in continuous personal and professional growth, keeping skills and knowledge up to date with best practices in nursing and care.

- A Name or Police Clearance (not older than six months), and
- Proof of valid SANC registration.
