**Job Advert Summary**:
**Purpose of the position**:
The HTS counsellor will be responsible for the HIV testing of PWUD in the PWUD Programme

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12 certificate
- 5 Day Basic HIV information course, 13 Day Intensive Counselling course and 10 Day Adherence,
- Finger Prick certificate
- 1-2 years HIV counselling experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English or any other South African languages

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Perform HTS according to National Algorithm
- Perform finger prick for HIV rapid diagnostic testing
- Adhering to Health and Safety and Infection Control Policies and Procedures
- If testing HIV positive, or screening positive for STIs and TB refer for further care to the programme nurse, linkage officer or clinic.
- Data collection on HTS and referrals.
- Record keeping into NDOH HTS register.
