Graduate SEO Specialist

Are you a graduate seeking an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in your field of study?

We are excited to announce our search for a graduate to join our e-commerce department as a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist on a fixed-term contract for one year.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities for website optimization.
- Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies, including on-page and off-page optimization.
- Optimize website content, meta tags, and headings to improve search engine visibility.
- Build high-quality backlinks to enhance website authority and rankings.
- Monitor and analyze website performance metrics, including organic traffic, keyword rankings, and conversion rates.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and algorithm updates.
- Collaborate with content creators and marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are followed.
- Track industry and competitor trends.
- Must be available to join the team within November 2024

**Qualifications**:

- Essential to have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- IT Tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree) at NQF 7 qualification, which includes SEO in the qualification

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:

- Working knowledge and understanding of web languages (HTML; HTML 5; CSS )
- Working knowledge of Shopify and other leading e-commerce platforms
- Knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
- Proficiency in SEO tools and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Has a high energy level and is performance-driven and deadline-orientated.
- Excellent planning, organizing and time management skills.
