**Introduction**

**Role Purpose**

To serve the Group Finance Technologies area primarily, as well as other broader organizational functions in MMH by streamlining operations and enhancing productivity. This is achieved by identifying and automating inefficient processes, ensuring that they function optimally. Furthermore, this role is pivotal in producing valid, precise, and timely business information, ensuring that decision-makers are equipped with accurate data to drive strategic and operational decisions.

**Requirements**:

- A relevant BComm or BSC (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent)
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design and development, data mining and business intelligence techniques
- Experience with SQL query (preferably SQL Server)
- Fundamental knowledge of Data Warehousing is preferable
- Good understanding of Agile project principles (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) will be advantageous
- Microsoft Office Suite, Excel (Advanced), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

**Duties & Responsibilities**

**Business Intelligence**:

- Proactively analyse and develop an understanding of the data to gain valuable business insight
- Work closely with business stakeholders to identify and develop new areas for reporting or analysis
- Build prototypes to test business logic or visualisations and rapidly create context for new BI solutions
- Identify data quality issues and develop appropriate quality measures to track resolution progress

**Reporting**:

- Develop an understanding of the existing reports and BI solutions that are available
- Guide users in finding the most appropriate solution as well as providing context by highlighting how to use them correctly
- Deliver on ad-hoc reporting, data requests and analysis from business according to agreed priorities

**Automation**:

- Automate inefficient finance processes through the use of relevant digital / coding tools (PowerAutomate, SQL, etc)
