**Job Advert Summary**:
**Purpose of the position**:
To conduct provide health education and promotion sessions, readiness assessments for PrEP, pre-test, post-test, supportive and adherence counselling services. To support the effective implementation of case management.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Matric / Grade 12
- Valid 10-day HIV AIDS counselling certificate (from recognised service provider)
- Certified to conduct finger prick testing
- Two years’ experience in HIV and TB programmes
- Ability to speak isiXhosa, English and any other South African language

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Community outreach activities and HIV counselling and testing services
- Targets and reporting
- Screening
- Teamwork and confidentiality
- Referrals
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
- Demonstrate empathy and a non-judgmental attitude toward service users
- Assist in taking sputum specimen on symptomatic clients
- Adhere to waste disposal
