**JOB PURPOSE**
Responsible for the delivery of specific projects in the Guidance and Prevention Programme to achieve Compliance and Prevention Department strategic outputs.

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**:

- Provide forward thinking guidance and prevention expertise regarding regulated institutions, persons and sectors under the Financial Intelligence Centre Act, 2001 (FIC Act);
- Provide input into developing an annual strategic guidance and prevention plan;
- Develop a sound understanding of various regulated institutions and sectors under the FIC Act;
- Identify problems and issues experienced within industry sectors affected by the FIC Act, and identify and guide on suitable solutions;
- Monitor domestic developments which impact on the control measures to combat money laundering and terrorist financing;
- Consider and report on possible strategic initiatives and responses;
- Provide input into the guidance scope and draft guidance notes for approval and publication;
- Manage the public awareness initiatives from conception to completing;
- Draft and review of content for media publications in relation to compliance with the FIC Act;
- Build, manage and maintain professional relationships with relevant supervisory bodies, regulated institutions and other parties affected by FIC Act;
- Work closely with other programmes within the compliance department and within the Centre to deliver on strategic outputs;
- Provide assistance in responding to queries from the public and stakeholders on the FIC Act.
- Provide assistance to compliance training initiatives;
- Oversight of the call centre and public query functions;
- Attend and contribute to stakeholder engagements; and
- Provide assistance, where required, for onsite visits, compliance reviews and inspections.

**EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Relevant University Degree and working towards Post Graduate (e.g. LLB, BCOM, Information Systems, AML) - Post graduate Compliance Management qualification (CAMS certification preferred)
