Strategy and Mergers

Analyze financial statements and perform in-depth financial statement analysis.
- Perform financial modeling and analysis of potential acquisitions or disposals, including the development of complex financial models, discounted cash flow analysis and comparable company analysis.
- Helps coordinate the due diligence process in close collaboration with business units and functional partners in connection with transaction execution.
- Provide input into the due diligence process by gathering and analysing financial data, identifying risks, and providing insights into potential synergies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and assumptions for model inputs.
- Conduct business valuations and financial analyses, market research, and capital market and cost of capital analyses.
- Contribute to the preparation of vital documentation for M&A transactions, including business case, investment committee, Exco and Board presentations.
- Collaborate with legal, tax, treasury and finance teams to ensure accuracy and compliance in documentation.
- Work closely with the Head of Strategy and M&A Manager to ensure that M&A activities align with the broader strategic goals of the organisation.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making across the corporate development function.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- CA(SA) with at least 5 years of post-article experience or 3+ years’ experience in M&A or strategy consulting environment.
- Project Management qualification advantageous.
- M&A process and management.
- Market and segment research, with strong networking and project team collaboration.
- Project management experience advantageous.
- Financial analysis and reporting.
