Responsibilities
**Oversee Maintenance Operations**: Manage day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring all systems and facilities are well-maintained and functional.
**Team Leadership**: Lead and supervise a small team of handymen and maintenance workers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of work.
**Plumbing and Electrical Work**: Perform and supervise tasks related to plumbing and electrical systems, ensuring all repairs and installations are done safely and efficiently.
**Preventative Maintenance**: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of estate facilities and equipment.
**Small Building Projects**: Plan, coordinate, and execute minor building projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
**Pool and Borehole Maintenance**: Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of pools and boreholes, ensuring they are clean, safe, and operational.
**Budget Management**: Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and accurate record-keeping.
**Vendor Coordination**: Liaise with external contractors and vendors for specialized services and ensure timely completion of outsourced tasks.
**Health and Safety Compliance**: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations, creating a safe environment for residents and staff.
**You need**:
Proven experience in a similar maintenance management role, preferably in a residential estate setting.
Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, preventative maintenance, building projects, pool, and borehole maintenance.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to manage budgets and handle vendor relationships.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
