**Purpose of the Job**:
Responsible for the coordination of the software and hardware involved with running the computer networks and infrastructure with the aim of ensuring the system can handle all networking tasks while meeting security requirements. This includes performing updates, improvements, installations, and maintenance of networks, servers, and systems and performing troubleshooting to address any problems with computer systems and assess potential threats to the network.

**Job Objectives**:
Create and manage system permissions and user accounts.
Identify needs and provide technical support for both hardware and software issues the users encounter.
Facilitate the configuration process as well as the client-based computer operating systems to improve efficiency.
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades.
Collaborate with IT teams to optimise system and network performance.
Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability, including system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
Perform unit testing and create release notes for TCOE testing.
Arrange, perform and monitor pilot testing before final deployment.
Conduct risk assessments and risk analysis on a regular basis and report findings to the management team.
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
Ensure all software and systems comply with industry standards and company policies.
Configure, support, and monitor infrastructure and security tools, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software, and other processes.
Implement security policies and perform regular security tests and security monitoring.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems and outages and provide technical support to users.
Update build guides and ensure consistent implementation to maintain operating system support.
Manage vendors to ensure software products and services are secured and maintained in accordance with quality standards.

**Qualifications**:
Degree or Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science or related
Certificate in A+, N+ and/or CCNP

**Experience**:
**Essential**:
Demonstrated experience in a programming language, networking systems, or design.
Good network and database experience.
Experience with Firewalls (Fortinet), networks (LAN, WAN), data backup/recovery (Veeam), system monitoring (PRTG) and patch management tools (GFI languard).

**Knowledge and Skills**:
Good understanding of network protocols and analysis.
Cloud computing knowledge (e.g. AWS).
Knowledge of VMware and its associated systems.
