- We are looking to recruit a permanent QA Managing Pharmacist to work for United Pharmaceutical Distributors (UPD). The role will be based in Lea Glen, Roodepoort reporting to the Quality Compliance Executive.**Job description**

**Job Purpose**:
To ensure compliance to GWP/GDP/GMP, with specific reference to products distributed on behalf of Distribution Principals and for controlling the export of Specified Schedule 5 and Schedule 6 products on behalf of Distribution principals.**Key Performance Areas**:

- To manage and control the process for the quarantine, sampling and release for sale of product distributed on behalf of Distribution Principals including relationship management and point of contact with the Distribution principals QA Manager.
- To ensure all UPD branches implement and manage Quality assurance as required by law or through service level agreements with clients
- To perform batch recalls/withdrawals, self-inspection audits, vendor audits, temperature mapping and validation and calibration of equipment required for GWP/GDP/GMP adherence, as well as establishing/approving validation plans for UPD branches and final vendor approval by UPD branch dependent on audit outcomes.
- To prepare, update and implement relevant SOPs, annexures, training material and tests and train staff where applicable.
- To provide support and QA management to Distribution principals through ensuring favorable audits are achieved, formulating replies to audit reports and ensuring that all observations are addressed and closed out; managing all quality and technical complaints; providing trend analysis and feedback on all deviations and change management that may impact distribution client products.

**Minimum Education and Qualification**:

- BPharm
- Registration with Pharmacy Counsel of SA
