Nerve Centre Shift Management

Must be based in Johannesburg, Soweto, Roodepoort, Krugersdorp or surrounding areas.

Minimum Experience: 5 years in a Control Room as a Control Room Shift Manager

1. Requirements:
1.1 Employee must have their own transport or means of coming to work.

1.2 Must have a valid PSIRA Grade A certificate

1.3 Must have a Clean Criminal Record

1.4 Must be neat with good hygiene

1.5 Must be able to focus and not be easily distracted.

1.6 Must be able to work under pressure.

1.7 Must be willing to work Day and Night shift.

2. Skill Requirements:
2.1 Computer Literacy in terms of computer software, hardware, programming

2.2 Must be a good communicator.

2.3 Literate with skills in English grammar and spelling.

2.4 Must have telephone skills and the ability to properly converse on the phone.

2.5 Experience on the following system/programs would be beneficial:

- Online Intelligence,
- Axxon
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point,
- Camera Analytics.

3. Description of the duties

**3.1 Shift Management**
- Ensure that all work stations are ready before the new shift starts.
- Ensure Nerve Centre Agent duties has been allocated correctly.
- Ensure all equipment and systems are in working order before start of shift.

**3.2 Reports**
- Provide feedback every shift to Management on:

- Offline cameras
- Offline sites
- Any incidents
- Any problematic sites
- Camera counts

**3.3 Oversight of Shift Handover**
- Ensure that the Shift Supervisor reports incidents that occurred during shift to next Shift Supervisor.
- Ensure that the Shift Supervisor reports any Offline Cameras and sites is given to next Shift Supervisor
- Ensure that the Shift Supervisor reports any “high alert” sites to the next Shift Supervisor
- Ensure that the Shift Supervisor communicates any standing instructions given by management to next Shift Supervisor
- Ensure that the Shift Supervisor compiles and provide SITREP to management, Shift Supervisor and administrators.

**3.4 Incident Management**
- Contact Nerve Centre HOD and inform him of the incident that occurred.
- Assist with Gathering information of incident that has occurred
- Ensure that the Incident Report is completed by the Nerve Centre Agent and received by the HOD.
- After approval from HOD, the Incident Report can be sent to the client by management.

**3.5 Shift Handover Oversight**
- Oversight of the following:

- reporting of incident that occurred during shift to next shift
- Report any Offline cameras and sites to next shift
- Report any “high alert” sites to the next shift
- Communicate or Action any instructions given by management
- Provide information for SITREP to supervisor.

**3.6 Reliever**
- Should the shift be short-staffed or an employee is temporarily away from their station, the employee must ensure that there is an employee that can assist in this role.

**3.7 Communication with Senior Management**
- Communicate with HOD throughout the shift or provide information upon request.

**3.8 Staff Resources**
- Management of the employees in the Nerve Centre to maintain a high performance environment.
- Assist employees in the control room with any HR related matters.

**3.9 Equipment**
- Report any issues with Equipment in the nerve Centre to the Nerve Centre HOD
