- Motivate, develop and direct staff to be able to get the best from the team and individual staff members
- Monitor condition of property, facilities and equipment and identify maintenance needs5
- Develop and implement schedule for regular maintenance and upkeep of property
- Develop, implement and monitor strategies for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and effectiveness
- Develop, implement and oversee the preventative maintenance process to ensure reliability and effectiveness
- Research and implement best practices for facility maintenance and repairs
- Develop and implement audit program for mechanical systems
- Undertake corrective action resulting from system audits
- Assist in planning and monitoring of maintenance and capital improvement projects
- Schedule, assign tasks and duties to staff and oversee their work
- Performance manage maintenance staff including evaluation, training and development, coaching and feedback
- Ensure maintenance team''s compliance with all relevant regulations, policies and procedures
- Establish and maintain safe work procedures and practices
- Monitor and maintain established quality standards for all processes
- Provide input into preparation of annual maintenance budget and prepare budget requests
- Monitor costs and expenses to meet budget goals and ensure optimal cost effectiveness
- Coordinate and administer vendor contracts
- Coordinate and manage support from external service providers
- Oversee inventory of parts and materials
- Provide regular reports on status of maintenance and repairs
- To ensure that Preventative Maintenance system is up to date and attended to efficiently
- To be the Responsible GMR2 appointee and Health and Safety Manager
- Adhering to purchasing procedures to ensure that items are purchased of acceptable quality and competitive prices
- Ensure that all department documentation is documented, implemented and followed as per the companies Quality Policy
