PepsiCo SA employs more than 13, 000 people across our three business divisions: Bakeries, Grains, Foods, Fruit, Snacks, Juice & Beverages. **Responsibilities**: **Compliance** - Support the RA team to ensure ongoing compliance with all aspects of food and beverage legislation in relation to manufacture, composition, labelling and advertising, packaging and food contact materials for the range of PepsiCo products manufactured or sold in South Africa and export countries. Accountabilities include: - Review of product design, composition, packaging and labelling requirements - Interpretational guidance on claims and positioning - Review of advertising and promotion governed by food legislation - Support import and export initiatives. **CAST** - Support Regional SMME to deliver: - Validation of regulatory rule mapping - Validation of legacy label documents - Support to Regional SME with specific expertise as needed - Complete E-learning, Webinars, Day-to-Day usage in SAP System **Specification management** - Provide RA support during the review and sign-off of various specifications (ingredients/packaging/final product), with special focus on the roadmap to get SA/WECA specifications CAST-ready Qualifications: - Science Degree. Food Science or related discipline will be an advantage - Detailed knowledge of South African food and beverage regulations, particularly areas relating to ingredients, final product, contaminants, packaging/food contact materials, labelling and manufacture. Knowledge of other African regulations will be an advantage - High degree of attention to detail and strong executional capability - Results-oriented, proactive self-starter, able to work independently and as a team player - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as ability to collaborate with other PepsiCo functions beyond RA **“PepsiCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer in line with the Employment Equity Act"
