Then look no further Our national manufacturing client has an opportunity available at their Germiston-based workshop.

**Key role**:
To assist the Fleet Superintendent to effectively manage and control the Workshop and Maintenance departments in a cost effective, professional and trustworthy manner.

**Requirements**:

- **Qualified Diesel Mechanic**:

- Code 14 Drivers’ licence beneficial
- **Minimum 10 years**’ **supervisory experience in multi vehicle Workshop**:

- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite Leadership abilities
- Solid knowledge on Health and Safety practices
- Customer focus orientation
- Knowledge and experience in working on diesel engines - UDs, Fuso; Mercedes
- Computer literate - experience working on the JD Edwards ERP system will be an advantage

**Primary duties**:

- Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and management
- Must be able to satisfactorily assist with the management of the main Workshop as well as branches
- Must be able to work on JD Edwards, load job cards, keep record of all expenses on vehicles as well as repairs to the bins and cages
- Must have good working knowledge of boiler-making and spray painting
- Must be able to effectively manage time
- Must have a comprehensive understanding of safety, and must monitor Workshop practices daily
- Will be responsible for servicing of vehicles and obtaining COFs for company vehicles as well as machinery
- Daily job cards to be checked, notes to be made and repairs to be affected as soon as possible
- Must communicate with all Branch Managers regarding respective fleet in Workshop for repairs
- Daily activity list must be sent to Workshop Manager
