We've got an exciting, brand new opportunity at Ackermans as a **Recruitment Specialist **to join our team on a **6 month fixed-term maternity contract**. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your exceptional skills to identify, attract, and secure top talent, ensuring our organisation continues to thrives.

We're a fully in-office team. This role is based at our Support Centre in Kuils River, Cape Town.

**Key responsibilities**:
**1) **Operational Plans**
- Provide input to the Functional plan.
- Implement operational action plans to meet business needs.
- Deliver on HR Projects related to the business, HR or functional strategy.

**2) Recruitment**
- Driving the recruitment and selection process in Portfolios in line with EE targets for all positions.

**3) **Administration and reporting**
- Create and govern employee information files
- Ensure appropriate record keeping for employee relations and performance management
- Distribute relevant documentation (i.e. LOA, Offer letters)

**4) **Remuneration**:

- Advise line managers on all remuneration and benefits related matters.
- Advise employees on benefits and remuneration (including package structuring)

**Qualifications required**:
**Essential**:

- A 3-year tertiary HR Qualification (Human Resource Management/Industrial and/or Organizational Psychology.

**Experience required**:
**Essential**:

- A minimum of 5 years relevant HR Administrator
- 2-3 years Recruitment Consultant/ HR Generalist experience

**Preferred**:

- Previous relevant recruitment experience within a retail environment.

**KNOWLEDGE required**:

- Sound understanding of HR best practices:

- Recruitment
- Talent Management
- Remuneration and Benefits
- Performance Management
- Employee Relations
- Knowledge and experience on HRIS systems would be advantageous
- Sound knowledge in Recruitment administration processes

**SKILLS required**:

- The ability to be resilient, have tenacity and maintain high levels of drive and initiative under pressure.
- The ability to influence across various levels and functions within the business.
- Customer service focus both internally and externally and ensuring good interpersonal relationships.
- Excellent language skills (verbal and written) in English.
- Be able to work independently, as well as be a team player.
- Good judgment together with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within, as well as outside the company.
- Exceptional planning, organising & time management skills
