Summary

Reporting to the Cluster Director of Marketing & Communications, South Africa, the **Marketing and Communication Manager**, is responsible for planning and implementing the properties’ marketing strategies, which includes brand awareness initiatives, F&B marketing, destination marketing, loyalty (World of Hyatt) marketing, social media content marketing, communications and public relations efforts.

The Marketing and Communications role is responsible for building positive brand awareness for **operating and future Hyatt properties in Cape Town**, both domestically and in key feeder markets, by optimizing marketing channels.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of work experience; minimum 3+ years developing marketing or communications strategies
- Previous marketing experience in luxury brands, hotels, lodging or travel industry preferred
- Experience with marketing plan development and execution
- Strong relationship-building skills at all levels of the organization. Ability to influence, guide and lead executive-level colleagues.
- Good presentation and written communication skills
- Ability to use research tools and interpret marketing data to develop marketing plans and programs that generate desired business results
- Strong understanding of all key functional areas of business from Sales, Revenue Management, Digital Marketing, Communication, Operations
- Management, training and organizational skills, with an ability to heavily multi-task and teach, coordinate and project manage
- Strong project management skills
- Experience managing agencies
- Superior Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word) skills required
- Strong English (both spoken/written) is required
