An opportunity has become available for an IT infrastructure manager within our information technology department.
We are looking for a professional, ethical and influential team player who will add value to the IT function by being responsible for the planning, organising and management of infrastructure activities to ensure the stable operation of Cape Union Mart Group IT Infrastructure.

**Key duties and responsibilities**:
Design and implement plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements
Project management
Develop, implement as well as maintain policies and procedures for infrastructure administration and associated infrastructure projects
Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the leadership team
Budget management
Conduct research and make recommendations on products and services to support the strategic objectives of Cape Union Mart
Establish service-level agreements with business units
Prepare all related documentation in respect of new and old infrastructure acquisitions as well as any new infrastructure service contracts.
Negotiate with vendors and external contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services that fit the business requirement
Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security-related objectives i.e. PCI
Agile approach to change and new projects
Service delivery management from vendors and team
Cloud migrations
Project management of IT-related projects
Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, internet, intranet, Microsoft licencing, security, wireless implementations etc.
Working in a fast-paced environment with a hand-on approach. Must be agile and can move quickly
Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions.
Define hardware and software standards
Regularly test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports
House keeping management of all environments
Develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure
Test server performance and provide network performance statistics, suggestions and proposals for better utilization and monthly reporting
Develop strategies for maintaining server infrastructure
Manage operational costs
Establish and maintain regular reporting on the status and stability of infrastructure.
Schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and Software problems in a timely and accurate fashion
Direct infrastructure team activities and where necessary, conduct performance reviews in line with Cape Union Mart’s Performance Optimisation and improvement processes
Manage all related team leadership activities including scheduling, motivation and project management.

**Requirements**:
Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification
Microsoft Operating System Support - all desktop and server platforms
Microsoft Office 365 Support

Microsoft Exchange
Active Directory
Group Policy
DNS
DHCP
MSSQL
SCCM or similar
SCOM or similar
VMware ESX
