Job Description/Specification
Store Clerk
**Job Summary**
The Store Clerk at Health on Point should be able to perform various duties and responsibilities. The role is to ensure that the customers have an excellent shopping experience. Should be an excellent communicator with the ability to answer the question that the customers might have regarding the store products.
**2.** **Responsibilities & Duties**
The responsibility of the store clerk is not exhaustive and may change from time-to-time as decided by Management.
- Assist customers in the billing and payment process at the store counter
- Handle record keeping and re-ordering of stock
- Receive customers and assist with the selection of merchandise.
- Communicate information about product availability, nutritional information,
and ingredients
- Display and organise products in store for the customers to locate easily
- Maintain the outlook of the store.
- Help with preparation for displays, trade shows and windows.
- Ability to work with Uber eats managers and other service providers
- Familiar with different products offered in store
- Identify the customer needs in the area and provide feedback to business on
customer needs
- Handle cash with due diligence and integrity
- Familiar with different forms of payment
- Ability to work well under pressure
**3.** **Personal responsibilities**
- Take initiate to grow within the company
- Show enthusiasm in working
- Taking initiative in placing orders as and when required
- Willingness to learn about new items and products quickly
- Research and identify the best offerings for the store
- Good time management skills.
**4.** **Key performance Measures**:
1. Execute day to day tasks in time.
2. Drive more traffic to the store
3. Managing supplier relations
4. In store stock take and timely procurements
5. Checking shipment and feedback to the business and suppliers
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Must at least be a high school graduate.
- Good computer skills and knowledge of software like MS Office.
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong time management, organisation, and multitasking skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain management.
- Good supplier management and supplier relationship skills
- Good professional ethics and integrity.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: R6,500.00 - R10,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
