Santam Specialist Real Estate has a position available for Underwriting Consultant who will based in Wanderers Office Park, Illovo.
**Job Description**:
Accountabilities
Do Policy screenings and manage portfolios in accordance with company policy.
Underwriting of new and existing risks to obtain profitable growth.
Handle referrals and the underwriting thereof.
Technical underwriting advice.
Retaining brokers and direct renewals using retentions and persuasive skills to identify the client’s needs.
Create save opportunities by utilizing proactive retention and persuasive skills.
Qualification s and Experience
Grade 12

**FAIS requirement**: (NQF level 4)
Computer literacy (MS Office package)
At least 3 years current experience in Short Term Insurance
RE Qualification
Clear track record in terms of adherence to Quality standard and Compliance Knowledge
Relevant system knowledge
Thorough knowledge of underwriting Skills
Attention to detail
