**Job Title: Educational Psychologist**

**Purpose of Role**:
**Reports To**:Child Protection Officer

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify learners' strengths, needs, and learning styles.
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support learners' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualised Education Programmes (IEPs).
- Provide consultation and training to teachers and other school staff on topics such as learning strategies, classroom management, and mental health support.
- Develop and implement school-wide initiatives to promote positive mental health and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of learner assessments, interventions, and progress.

**_Please note this role is on an initial 24-month contract (2 years)_**

**Requirements**:
**Qualifications and Experience**:

- **Education**:Master's degree in Educational Psychology
- **Professional Registration**:Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Educational Psychologist
- **Experience**:A minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Educational Psychologist in a school setting.

- Bilingual or multilingual skills.
