**Main purpose of the job**

To lecture and develop academic material, and tutorials in your area of expertise.

Create and update course content, including lecture notes, reading materials, and multimedia resources.

Develop assessments such as formative and summative assessments, quizzes, and assignments.

**Remuneration**: The hourly rate of payment depends on the part-time lecturer’s qualifications and experience.

R278 per hour R341 per hour R 417 per hour R571 per hour
- Lectures are mainly delivered in-person, but can be remotely done, if need be, or through a hybrid format.
- Both facilitation and assessment methods may be adjusted with little notice.
- Lecturers are expected to provide their own laptop computers.

**Minimum and Desired Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience**
- An appropriate B Tech / Honors, Master’s or Doctorate degree (depending on the level of presentation)
- Previous lecturing experience will serve as a recommendation.
- Experience with electronic education (Blackboard) is recommended.
