**_ Position Purpose:_**

The Senior Manager: Enterprise Architecture and Strategy is responsible for leading the programme to develop, maintain and

leverage the enterprise architect (EA across TPT and where applicable lead and coordinate EA efforts between OD’s working
with TPT (Group, TFR, TNPA, TE). The Business Value Creation Manager is also responsible for defining EA processes

such as the EA assurance process and for leading the integration of these processes with other related business and IT

processes.

**_ Position outputs:_**
- Leading the creation or evolution of the EA function or program, including the coordination of an appropriately balanced

pursuit of enterprise business, information,

technical and solution architecture viewpoints.
- Understanding, advocating and supporting TPTs and the Transnet Group business and IT strategies.
- Leading the identification and analysis of TPT enterprise business derive enterprise business, information, technical and

solution is requirements; analyzing industry,

technology and market trends.
- Analyzing the current business and IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement

within TPT and across ODs as and when applicable.
- Leading and facilitating the creation of governing principles to guide solution decision making for the enterprise.
- Ensuring that the optimal governance structure and compliance activities (such as handling waivers) are associated with EA

compliance.
- Leading the development of an implementation plan for the EA, based on business requirements and IT strategies;
overseeing EA implementation, ongoing EA refinement activities, and the documentation of all EA design and analysis work.
- Consulting with program/project teams to fit solutions to architecture across all viewpoints.
- Identifying organizational requirements for the resources, structures and Cultural changes necessary to support the EA.
- Promoting the EA process, outcomes and results to the organization, including the enterprise's IT and business leaders;
this includes assessing (through appropriate metrics) and communicating the achievement and impact of the EA, as well as

leading the development and execution of an EA communication and education plan.
- Understand the principles of all TOGAF related architecture standards.
- Sound understanding of business principles.
- Ability to design concepts and create specifications for ideas such as lntelliPort, RTol, TPT Digital framework, etc.
- Ability to contribute to TVCC is a relatively short period of time.

**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**
- A degree in computer science or computer engineering or a related field of study.
- Previous experience as a successful enterprise architect highly desirable.
- 10 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines (such as technical architecture, solution architecture, network
- management) in a heterogeneous environment ' or five years of experience in solution architecture, business analysis or
- business strategic planning.- TOGAF Certification highly desirable
