**_Ensuring Chart’s Success _**

Howden South Africa is looking for an experienced **Storeman** to accurately receive and issue spares.

**_What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be _**
- Obtain a Picking list to issue spares or Transfer Inventory form to receive spares into stock from the immediate Supervisor
- Oversee the receiving and despatch of spares, checking them for quality and quantity, and ensure proper documentation
- Ensure items are packaged and labelled correctly before despatch
- Ensure items are labelled correctly, stored in the correct location and with correct stacking and storage standards followed.
- All items received or issued should be scanned using the mobile handheld device.
- Use of forklift or crane for on loading and off loadings
- Conduct regular safety checks and participate in safety training
- Report to the Stores Supervisor on a daily basis
- Inform Supervisor on any tools required
- Ensures stores are open in the mornings and are safely closed in the afternoon before shift ends
- Participate in random stock counts & yearly stocktakes
- Write daily time sheets
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring that the stores/warehouse is a safe working environment (housekeeping)
- Occasionally assist in other departments, work overtime & weekends

**_Your Education Should Be _**
- Grade 12
- 2 years’ experience as a storeman

**_Your Professional Experience Should Be _**
- Computer literacy
- Read, write and be good with numbers
- Team player with ability to work independently
- Able to operate a forklift and Overhead Crane
