**Opportunity Available Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Customs Clearing Controller to join their dynamic team in East London.**

**Imports Management**:

- **Perform import clearance for all imported goods**

- **Facilitation of transport of import stock**
***:

- **Frame customs entries**
***:

- **Upload freight shipments into BAAN**
***:

- **Ensure all shipping documents are correct and according to**
***

***

**Customs Requirements and Regulations**:
***
- **Confirm arrival dates of vessels and delivery dates of import shipments in transit**
***

***

**Container Management**:
***
- **Optimizing container utilization**
***

***

**Customer liaison**:
***
- **Work closely with custom agents**
***

***

**Compliance with CCAE with customs, SPI’s & DAS Code of Ethics**:
***
- **Customs compliance and SARS Rules & Regulations**
***

***

**Continuous Improvement**:
***
- **Cost saving improvements & cash flow saving opportunities on warehousing**
***:

- **Collection from clients**
***:

- **Appoint applicable shipping line for shipments**
***:

- **Road transport service provider**
***

***

**Job Requirements**:
***
- **NQF 4 (Grade 12) + National Diploma in Logistics**
***:

- **5 -10 years relevant experience in Material requirement planning in a first tier automotive company supplying to most OEMs**
***:

- **Customs tariff headings and Incoterms**
***:

- **5- 10 year relevant experience in Bond store control and management with a clear understanding of Rebate items and SARS requirements for a Bond Store**
***:

- **Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment**
***:

- **Ability to analyze customer releases vs. supplier deliveries and plan thereof**
***:

- **Customer and CX release portal experience**
***:

- **Excellent communication, Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making abilities and persuasion skills.**

- **Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deal with complexity**
