National Industry Specialist

**What are we looking for?**

We are seeking an experienced Industry Specialist - Animal Feed to join our team.

**The key responsibilities**:

- Providing direction in line with business strategy, lead, motivate and measure the performance of the Sales teams to ensure individual and team budgets and objectives are achieved is respect to Animal Feed segment.
- Work alongside Business Development Manager.
- Work with the Purchasing Department to ensure that all tenders, proposals, and agreement renewals are completed on time to the highest standard.
- Preparation of annual sales budget in conjunction with operations and procurement.
- Develop and implement standard sales operating practices and monitoring techniques in conjunction with direct reports.
- Ensure effective sales monitoring is in place for all sales activity and ensure that the business is capturing critical data in relation to targets and market opportunities in Animal Feed segment.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior personnel in Bragan management team as well as the companies top major revenue generating accounts.
- Delivery of presentations to major customers, board, and management, when required
Accompany Branch Managers and other sales personnel on customer visits as and when required.
- Will work alongside Branch Managers, Purchasing Manager and Operations Manager.
- Required to travel nationally between respective regional branches. On occasion may be required to travel within Sub-Saharan Africa accompanying Exports Team.
- Present new business opportunities/ideas to management, board, and investors
Attending customer or group entertainment events when required.
- Leading all sales and marketing functions in respect to Animal Feed segment.
Conduct sales reporting as required by top management.
- Promote, assist and direct new sales departments and products.
- Assist in ad-hoc duties required by Commercial Director and other senior management.

**If you possess**

**Must-Have**:

- Matric (Grade 12) and Marketing qualifications, Business Administration qualifications or related.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a Animal Feed Technical/Sales role
- In-depth knowledge of Sales and Marketing techniques and best practices.
- Capacity to manage various projects and work on tight deadlines.
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
