One of the schools of the Enko Education network in Johannesburg, South Africa, is looking for a dynamic leader in the role of **School Manager**.

Enko Education has developed an innovative model to unlock learners’ potential. Our students commonly earn the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and we sometimes offer the qualifications of the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE).
With 14 schools across Africa, Enko Education operates in Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Mali, Burkina Faso, Mozambique, Botswana, Zambia and South Africa, and aims to open 50 more schools in the next five years. Several international financing institutions, including Proparco, I&P, OikoCredit, LiquidAfrica and BIO support Enko Education’s vision and ambition.
**The School Manager role**
As the School Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the schools’ operations and financial outcomes. You will set-up, operate and continuously improve all aspects of the school including, but not limited to: learning and teaching, finance, operations and student recruitment, in line with the Standards & Practices and the culture of the Enko Education Group.
**Specific responsibilities include**:
- Supervise and guide senior staff and middle management of the school
- Ensure student and parent satisfaction through the achievement of the school’s educational objectives, in collaboration with the academic team
- Develop an outstanding team: recruit, develop, retain highest quality national teaching & non-teaching staff
- Supervise the marketing and student recruitment actions in order to achieve the school’s enrolment objectives
- Develop and implement the school’s financial strategy, ensure efficient and effective school fee collection
- Ensure smooth day to day operations in a school with 500+ students
- Implement Enko Education Standards and Practices
- Contribute to improving the Enko model and developing our network in Africa
You will receive a wide range of support from Enko Education’s central team and from other school leaders.
- Has full professional proficiency in English
- Has extensive experience with especially day to day leadership in (high) school operations
- Has thorough financial insight and is able to develop and implement a finance strategy, in particular with regards to school fee collection
- Demonstrates respect and passion for the African continent
- Embodies the Enko Education values like no other.
- Understands affordability challenges and the expectations we face with our parent population
- Demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on attitude, lots of energy and resilience
- Thinks growth and scale, to tackle one of the largest and most pressing needs of the continent
