Junior Bookkeeper

A vacancy became available for an Assistant Accountant / _Jnr Bookkeeper_**_ _**_who would be responsible for supporting_ the FM in basic bookkeeping / accounting tasks, s.a. debtors, stock taking, cashbook and ads hoc administration tasks. You would be employed by a prestigious institution, which is situated within picturesque mountains and vineyard hills. _The successful incumbent will be keen to learn with an obliging character._

**KPA’s**:

- Full function Bookkeeping
- assign transactions to specific accounts,
- record journal entries that credit or debit the specific accounts;
- posting entries to ledger accounts; and
- amending entries at the end of each accounting period.
- Strong stock taking abilities,
- Debtors / Creditors recons and follow up.
- VAT recons and payments
- General office admin including dealing with suppliers, delivery companies etc.
- Assist in Payroll entries
- Computer literate

**Must have**:

- Min of 1+ yrs exp in _accounting_
- Preferable _degreed_ in the financial field
- Must have - obviously - an affiliation to work with figures.

**Preference would be given to someone**:

- studying towards/ completion of a tertiary education in **accounting/finance**:

- with a learning attitude
- staying in / close to Le Franschhoek
