**Key Tasks and Responsibilities** - Strictly enforces health and safety standards, and Road Traffic Act - Management of productivity and customer service measures. Leverage distribution efficiencies by aligning resources to outputs. Fleet up time >95%, Achieve service levels across the network (In Fill 90%, Service Level 98.5%) - Administrative responsibilities - Support fleet maintenance program on site, and ensure that the fleet standards are maintained at the highest standards - Responsible for the cleanliness, neatness and hygiene of all crew, equipment and vehicles within his domain - Ensures that all vehicles are inspected daily via the drivers and any defects to be reported to the Distribution Controller for action. Manage third party contractors within budget - Ensure route master updates are done at all times to cater for store changes - Follow up on any queries with Franchisees and feeds back within a 24 hour period to the Franchisee and Manager - Ensures customer service levels are achieved and productivity is driven. Assist and support the customer collection process - Effectively coordinate orders for on hold accounts - Execute distribution plan as per PLATO, using Trackmatic. Entrench effective communication between Driver’s and planning to ensure enhancements are derived from the plan - Address delivery complaints - Assist and help in all sections when required to do so - Management of HR related matters - Drive Owner Driver efficiencies. Trackmatic KPI’s achieved (On time dispatch, AND etc.) - Dispatch on Time > 95% -A.D.N. % >95% -MST% > 80% -Planned vs. Actual between 97%-103% (OD) and 95%-105% (FB) -Infinity Usage >95% **Education, Experience and Skills** - Numeracy and literacy skills - Computer skills - working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and Power Point - Good overall department timekeeping skills - Ability to communicate with crew in a firm but approachable manner - Organisational ability in the distribution of work to crew members - Strong leadership skills - Ability to work as an individual at times as well as in a team environment - Ability to work, suggest and carry out instructions given or work with management - Ability to work flexible hours - Must have own transport - A minimum of Grade 12 - Preferably a Transport/Logistics/Supply Chain Diploma or degree - At least 2 years’ experience in a FMCG environment - Plato and Trackmatic experience required - ERP system experience
