**Purpose of the Job**:
**Job Objectives**:
**1. Team Integration**: Assist in defining the business problems with appropriate questions and by proposing a specific analysis approach. Lead the business requirement discovery process, working with business stakeholders to identify business requirements and model and frame business scenarios that are meaningful and which impact critical business processes and/or decisions. Work closely with solution architects, systems analysts, and project managers in the design of solutions.

**2. Solution Development**:Define models to be created and implemented together with the approach to implementing them. Explore data and create descriptive and predictive models in cycles. Put models into production, monitor for accuracy and robustness, and where appropriate implement a retraining approach for models.

**4. Talent Development**: Provide system input to design of user training material. Play a key role in coaching and mentoring colleagues.

**Qualifications**:
Masters or PhD Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, economics, Information Systems, Statistics or Mathematics or related field

**Experience**:
Snr Scientist: 5-8 years

Working experience as a Senior Data Scientist

Experience in Mathematical or Machine learning algorithmic research and a desire to work hands-on in analysing and modeling large data sets.

Retail Experience ( as an additional - beneficial)

Experience in the following (depending on which team you are placed in):

- Assortment optimisation
- Customer-driven marketing
- Forecasting
- Supply chain analytics
- Clustering
- Marketing mix modeling
- Price optimisation
- Product recommendation
- Fraud detection
- Workforce analytics

**Knowledge and Skills**:
Report creation, modeling, and trend forecasting Working with large amounts of data
- SQL
- AWS toolsets (beneficial)
- Python or any object-based coding experience in any language
- Tableau (beneficial)
