Automotive Machinist Trainer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated **Automotive Machinist Artisan** with hands-on experience. This role also requires the ability to mentor and train apprentices, ensuring the transfer of technical knowledge and best practices.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform precision machining and reconditioning of engine components such as cylinder heads, crankshafts, camshafts, engine blocks, and connecting rods.
- Operate and maintain a variety of workshop machinery and milling equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical problems, assess wear or damage, and recommend repair or replacement solutions.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards in all workshop processes.
- Provide hands-on training and mentorship to apprentices in line with recognized technical and trade standards.
- Monitor apprentice progress and conduct performance assessments.

**Job Requirements**:

- Qualified Automotive Machinist Artisan (Red Seal / equivalent trade certification).
- Proven experience working in an automotive machine shop or mechanical engineering environment.
- Demonstrated experience in training and mentoring apprentices or junior staff.
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive engine components and machining processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
