Introduction

Bureau Veritas Inspectorate Laboratories (Pty) Ltd is recruiting 20 Sampler/Inspector on an Intermittent contract. The position is based in Durban Port and reporting to the Shift Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements and Skills
- Preferably matric
- Medically and physically able to work in an industrial environment
- Able to work independently
- Job Specification**Accountability**
- Preparation of samples in accordance with instructions and required standards.
- To execute work timeously, ethically and efficiently.
- Compliance with relevant standards/methods including all applicable legislation, customer and client requirements.
- Be fully aware of the policies and practices of the company as specified in the Departmental procedure.
- Adhere to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality policies and instructions.
- Sampling as per scope of work and/or client request in accordance with instructions and the required standards/procedures.
- Detailed breakdowns and delays to be reported to the Supervisor/ branch manager.
- Ensure that all the samples are marked clearly and correctly.
- Conduct regular checks and perform basic maintenance on all equipment utilised in Sampling/Preparation plant.
- All traceability, quality and safety documentation to be completed correctly and timeously.
- To maintain good maintenance, housekeeping and cleanliness of equipment utilised in the job.
- Follow reasonable instructions given by Management of Bureau Veritas.
- To work independently, be able to plan, communicate and give verbal expression.
