**Job Advert Summary**:

- To effectively monitor, control and calibrate current and new instruments as well as installations using available resources and to maintain plant in an efficient manner. Maintenance and enhancement of the instruments and processes in the plant/satellite stations. For Emplyment Equity purposes Rand Water will prioritise females and people with disabilities for thi position.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- N6/National Diploma in Instrumentation or light current engineering
- Must have Trade Test in Instrumentation
- 5 Years Post-Trade Test Instrumentation Experience
- Water Quality metering, Process control knowledge as well as PLC literacy
- Availability to do standby duties for instrumentation
- Computer literacy.
- Code 08 driver’s license and ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 driving test

**Primary Duties**:

- Fault finding and trouble shooting in the plants and equipments
- Update and maintain the history and records of plant equipments.
- Verbal report to be given on all breakdowns, possible causes of failure to be analysed and reported in writing.
- Attending to all plant breakdowns, including afterhours
- Co-ordination and implementation of projects by checking all installations, to comply with the station requirement
- Co-ordinate new installations, monitor new equipments to meet acceptable Rand Water standards
- Provide technical guidance and back-up to maintenance personnel.
