**Social Worker**

**Technical Work Responsibilities**

***Duties**
- Assess client’s strengths and use them as a tool to assist them to enter care
- Assess TGW on readiness for GAHC
- Counsel and support TGW on GAHC
- Assist TGW with psychosocial services
- Develop case management plans for participants to enter into care
- Schedule case management sessions with participants and follow them up at designated time points to ascertain attainment of study endpoints.
- To perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned including supports for other programs related to entry into HIV care.
- Collaborate with community-based organizations and HIV clinics to facilitate transition of participants into care
- Design and maintain organizational tools to ensure that the research project is conducted accurately and in compliance with good clinical practice guidelines
- Input accurate and complete data for all contacts with clients into the project database
- Advise and inform Research Manager and the Principal Investigator concerning preparation of documentation for the project, reviewing and ensuring that all required documentation has been accurately and successfully completed. Successful completion of this responsibility requires the exercise of independent judgment whether case report forms are properly completed and that discrepancies are noted and fully explained.
- Provide all required documentation in a timely manner, which may include client follow-up, outcome evaluation, client contact sheets, and evaluations
- Participate in regular staff meetings, staff training programs, supervisory sessions, and accept the responsibility for aiding the development of positive team relationships as requested
- To implement quality control process throughout the conduct of the project
- Ensure regular and clear communication with the team

- Adherence to organogram and communication lines regarding various problems
- Participate in training meetings and other activities both on site and at central venues to accomplish aims of the project
- General supervision: routine duties are performed with mínimal supervision; standard practices or procedures allow me to proceed alone at routine work; occasional check of work while in progress; work is reviewed upon completion
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

**Education**
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year colleage or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Advantageous
- Registration with a Professional Body of Social Workers

**Skills**
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc
