**Role Overview**:
As a **Construction Supervisor** at Franschhoek Wine Tram, you will be responsible for overseeing **road and rail transport operations, facility maintenance, and asset management**. You will work closely with a diverse team, including **maintenance staff, mechanics, drivers, and other key operational personnel**, to ensure the seamless transportation of guests through the breathtaking wine country of the Western Cape.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Asset Supervision**: Ensure that all fleet vehicles, trams, and associated infrastructure are maintained and compliant with industry regulations.
- **Team Leadership**: Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff, drivers, and operational teams, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards.
- **Logistics Support**: Assist in optimizing operational processes and ensuring smooth transport services.
- **Compliance & Safety**: Monitor compliance with relevant safety and operational regulations (**RSR, OHSACT, BCEA, etc.**), ensuring a safe working environment.
- **Disciplinary Oversight**: Enforce and uphold company policies, assisting with disciplinary procedures when necessary.
- **Inventory Control**: Track and manage stock levels for maintenance and operational needs.
- **Vendor & Supplier Coordination**: Liaise with third-party service providers to ensure quality service and cost-effectiveness.
- **Infrastructure Maintenance**: Oversee the upkeep and repair of rail and building assets, ensuring facilities remain operational and well-maintained.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- **Diploma or certification** in **construction, operations management, logistics, project management, or a related field**.
- Previous experience in **fleet and facility supervision**, preferably in the **road or rail transport sectors**.
- Strong leadership abilities with **experience supervising teams in an operational setting**.
- Practical knowledge of **maintenance scheduling, asset management, and regulatory compliance**.
- Excellent **problem-solving skills** and the ability to assist in logístical planning.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to **coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders**.
- Passion for the tourism industry and a commitment to **exceptional service standards**.
- **Code 10** licence
