**JOB TITLE**: Senior Fitter **DEPARTMENT**: MEA Mining Operations **REPORTING TO**: Site Manager **LOCATION**: Mogalakwena Anglo Platinum - Mokopane LIMPOPO **ADDITIONAL INFO**: Willing to travel, to work overtime, to work shifts\standby. Must reside within 40kms radius from the mine. Must be medically fit to perform heavy duties. - Must reside in Mokopane (proof of residence is required by the Labour desk) - The CV must be registered physically at the Mine Labour desk - next to Vaalkop Clinic (opens from 09:00 -12:00PM) **PURPOSE OF POSITION** - Responsible for full maintenance, replacement and installation of hose nozzles, transmitter coils, Enhance, TLS 2 and TLS 350R, EMR 3, EMR4, PUMPS motors and pump sets, installation and changing of filters these units as well others as and when required. - Aiding the VMI team when required - Installation and maintenance of pipes, flanges and other infrastructure to ensure the safe and continues delivery of fuels, oils and water to the various fixed sites, bowsers and service trucks. - Carry out breakdown repair work on mechanical equipment and also assist in ensuring that equipment is running at optimal levels. - Carry out planned and preventative maintenance schedules as assigned, review planned maintenance tasks and update the maintenance task list. - Do root cause and failure analysis on prolonged and repeated breakdowns and record the data. - Continuously monitor machine performance and be proactive in rectifying potential problems detected. - Continuously adhere to and engage in safe working practices. - Ensure all mechanical installations comply with the requirements of the OHS ACT **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** - Ensure Gilbarco Health & Safety procedures and policy compliance - Ensure MINE Health & Safety procedures and policy compliance - Ensure Gilbarco /MINE Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance. - Ensure Gilbarco Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) compliance. - Complete job cards as per KPI - Complete all installations and checklists as per relevant KPI - Complete all maintenance and checklists as per relevant KPI - Complete quality control inspections on all installations as per relevant KPI - Complete Mining information services (MIS) requests as per incident report KPI - Ensure availability for after-hours call outs as per relevant schedules - Ensure availability for stand-by duty as per relevant schedules. - Ensure that all problems and issues be communicated to the Site Manager or Field Service Manager for attention. - Ensure that all communication with the client be facilitated through the site or regional manager - Ensure timely resolution of breakdowns and the communication thereof. - Ensure reporting and planning and repair of possible failures - Stock control and weekly stock count submission - Maintenance and housekeeping of the refueling facilities, service trucks, Diesel bowsers, workshops, and other areas as per the customer’s request **DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY** **POSITION RELATIONSHIPS** **Internal** - Leadership Team - DDS - COE - Peers in Operations **External** - Customers - Mine Contractors - Department of Minerals and Resources **MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE (INDICATORS)** - Customer SLA > 90% as per KPI Scorecard - Maintenance tasks - 5 per Tech per day (Fleet driven per site) - Bowser Inspections - Each Bowser once per week - Service truck inspections - Each service truck inspected once per week - Site Inspections - Each Site once per day - Odo stills - < 5% of total Fleet per month - Breakdowns - < 5% of total activities per month - Repeat Fixes - < 5% of total breakdowns per month - Daily Meter Reconciliations within 0.5% variance - Daily report delivery before 13:00 - NM/PI’s, HSSE Policies both Customer and Gilbarco - Best Team Wins - Development Plan, Succession Management, Performance Management, daily management, **PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE** **Education/**achievements** - Minimum fitter trade test certification - N4 Fitter - Mechanical Trade Theory in Mechanical Engineering or related qualifications - N2 Matric or Higher **Experience/**Knowledge** - Minimum 5 year’s relevant industry related experience - 4 year’s relevant industry related experience in technical field **Specific Skills** - Communication (Verbal and Written) - Computer literate - Minimum level electrical skills - Customer service orientation - Planning - Quality control - Driver's license older than 2 years - Competent in driving - Customer Service Orientation - High level computer skills - Valid Driver’s License - Experience in the fuel industry - Experience in the mining industry **ROLE SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES & BEHAVIOURS** **Competency Descriptors** **Customer Driven** - Gains insight into customer needs. - Identifies opportunities that benefit the customer. - Builds and delivers solution that meet customer expectation. - Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships. **Collaborative** - Works cooperatively wi
