SAP Functional Consultant

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS**:

- Expert working knowledge of SAP APO customizing: setting up /customizing of Process Chains, batch job variants, Core interface (ciff ) integration models, custom tables and master data chains to suit specific markets within ATLAS
- Expert knowledge of Sap and APO tables
- Working / Expert knowledge of BI/BW integration into APO, customizing and developing Info Cubes, Info Hubs, Data sources and Info Sources. Understanding the transfer/extraction of data between Sap R/3 or external systems to APO or from APO to SAP R/3.
- Expert knowledge of Demand Planning module in APO
- Expert knowledge of the Snp module in APO- heuristic planning
- Expert/Working understanding of the Material Planning process, i.e., MRP- replenishment, stock ordering, inventory management, Purchase requisition/order creation and order proposal generation and interfacing to APO for planning.
- Working understanding of SAP master data objects
- Expert knowledge of the core interface and operational activities i.e., housekeeping, daily monitoring, batch job monitoring and queue monitoring.
- Expert trouble shooting skill to handle Incidents and user tickets within the Business SLA.
- Working knowledge of the supply chain processes, especially around purchasing, imports, materials planning, forecasting and distribution.
- ABAP debugging beneficial (Workbench related knowledge of new development/enhancements).
- Working understanding of inbound and outbound interfaces and batch jobs that are responsible for creating SD / MM documents relating to the Order to cash process.
- Working understanding of MaxDB, live cache and LCA
- MS Office tools (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
- JIRA and Confluence, especially X-ray test suite.
- Take consultative approach to challenge customers requested solution design, should a better alternative exist.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively (verbally and written) with both technical and non-technical colleagues/users.
- Strong Presentation skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow with the team.

- Willingness and ability to work on weekends and public holidays on implementation and operations (IT Support) related tasks.

**QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE**
- Relevant IT / Business Degree or equivalent experience.
- Certification in SAP APO

**ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Understand the business requirements, preparing AS-IS, and TO-BE documents and get sign-off from users for functional and/or technical design document(s).
- Proactively propose solutions to improve the support of (new) business processes.
- Executing the required changes through configuration.
- Interact with consultants of other modules for Integration requirements.
- Preparing test data and documentation, Conducting Unit tests, Regression tests and System Integration security tests including recording of results.
- Preparing User manuals and conducting training to business process owners.
- Planning of go live milestones, planning, preparation and execution of migration, cutover and Go-Live as well as post Go-Live support activities.
- Support the troubleshooting, resolving and closing of Production Support tickets within defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
- User interface transactional solutions.
- Analyse and scope End-user authorisation roles.
- Update and maintain documentation as an existing systems functionality is changed.
- Execution according to the Agile Methodology and attending of all team meetings, including Stand-ups, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospectives, Sprint Planning meetings etc.
- Daily use of the Agile Tool Chain, as per the updates required by the respective feature team(s).
