This role forms part of our state-of-the-art Distribution Centre, employing first class technology, and is an African first for workwear. A Customisation facility has been built as part of our Distribution Centre and is geared to serve our customers with high quality customised garments, quickly and efficiently. The customisation facility consists of embroidery, screen printing, digital printing, taping and alterations. Collaborating with, and supporting our customers is how we show our commitment to growing their brand along with ours.

The DC Night Shift Operations Leader will work as part of the Leadership team at the Distribution Centre, responsible for overseeing the nightly operations of the complete DC operation. The individual will be expected take full accountability for the night shift operations and ensure the term performs brilliantly in line with company requirements.

**The main responsibilities of the role include**:

- Control, oversee and direct the night shift activities across the Distribution Centre teams and ensure the functional systems are in place daily.
- Lead the night shift team through setting an example, guiding and developing the tean; anticipate challenges and opportunities and respond to problems efficiently.
- Investigate and report on all service levels internally from picking through to dispatch.
- Manage, control and report all Health and Safety, Maintenance and Security defects.
- Manage and co-ordinate any overtime required.
- Manage and control the entire department ensuring the online checkout requirements, custom packaging and bottle necks are controlled for the smooth flow of product through to the Dispatch / Invoicing area.
- Ensure that warehouse equipment is maintained according to the requirements of the Company.
- To manage the procurement of the warehouse equipment.
- Proactively deal with staff or operational issues, and escalate to the Warehouse Leader, where appropriate.
- Work to tight deadlines in a demanding, high-volume warehouse.

**The experience we’re looking for**:

- 3-5 years’ night shift warehouse leadership experience, ideally within large, modern FMCG or Retail DCs.
- Proven track record in leading a high performance team of 40 - 50 team members.
- Worked with Warehouse Management Systems, preferably also barcode scanning, picking and packing.
- Computer Literate using MS Office (including very good Excel), Syspro, WMS and Datascope systems.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport.
