Addictions Counsellor

Rustenburg Clinic is a registered psychiatric and addiction care facility situated in Somerset West. We are currently seeking a Registered Addictions Counsellor to join our multi-disciplinary team. Position is full time 8am-4pm Mon-Fri.

**Requirements**:

- Current registration with the HPCSA as an independent practitioner.
- Work experience in a psychiatric and/or addiction care facility is advantageous.
- Effective communication skills
- Work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team at the facility.
- Computer literacy.

Responsibilities include:

- Client assessment and presentation of new admissions
- Individual counselling and group counselling facilitation. Participate as a facilitator or co-facilitator in group sessions and other community group activities.
- Facilitate family conjoint sessions as needed as part of a client’s treatment plan.
- Overall case management and relevant administrative duties. Ensure that clients are referred timeously to appropriate medical professionals when a consultation is required.
- Ensure that clinical records are accurate and up to date.
- Liaison with other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide the necessary feedback of individual and group counselling sessions.
- Participate in a weekly clinical case management session.

Market related salary

Pay: R22 000,00 - R28 000,00 per month
