**Minimum Requirements**:
- A Master’s degree in Fashion Design, Clothing Management or Consumer Science. However, a PhD qualification or registration for a PhD would advantageous.
- 3 years teaching experience with specialisation in Lectra Software (Modaris & Diamino) in Fashion Design or Clothing within a tertiary education environment.
Additional requirements
- Ability to lecture both **theory and practical** modules in Fashion Design.
- Specific strengths in **Pattern and Garment Technology**, with expertise in **Lingerie, Corsetry, Men’s and Ladies’ Casual Wear**.
- Competence in **Learning Management Systems** for online teaching and learning.
- Engagement in **interdisciplinary teaching and learning activities**.
- Evidence of **community engagement** (advantageous).
- Industry experience in **fashion design, garment technology, or related fields** (advantageous).
- Preparedness to **present a research paper at a local conference** within the first two years of employment.
- A **portfolio of evidence** showcasing expertise in areas of specialisation (advantageous).
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Teach, assess, and moderate coursework at **Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma, and MAA** levels.
- Contribute to **curriculum development** for Extended, Advanced, and Professional levels.
- Engage in **interdisciplinary teaching and learning activities**.
- Participate in **faculty and departmental committees**, faculty meetings, and advisory board meetings.
- Engage in **community engagement projects** aligned with the university’s mission.
- Conduct **research, supervision, and academic development**.
- Perform **administrative duties** related to teaching, learning, and assessment.
