**Main purpose of the role**
- The main role is to export and import cargo to and from all the required SADC destinations within the metrics set for each destination.
- RIT shipments from port or airport to the SADC countries
- Manage BV inspections
- Manage and control all areas of the shipments.
- Customs Clearance processes
- Forwarding process

**Job Related Requirements**
- Grade 12
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Freight Forwarding industry
- Minimum of 3 years' Road Freight Export experience
- Performance driven and results orientated.
- Operational computer system CW1 used.
- Road Exports and Imports.
- Knowledge of SADC region essential.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to interact with demanding clients.
- Good communication skills (verbal &written).
- Punctuality and time management skills area essential for this position.
- Willing to work weekends and overtime when required.
- Day to Day controls required for service delivery.
- Internal and intercompany procedures and requirements.
- Knowledge of forwarding and clearing process’.

**Computer Literacy**
- Intermediate computer literacy level in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Cargowise experience an advantage

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Forwarding of cargo
- Register shipments on Cargowise
- Costing / Invoicing of files
- Actioning reports
- Actioning Queries
- Tracking
- Updating Milestones
- Liaising transporters/border agents/destination offices
- Co-ordination of movement of cargo into cross border countries
- Ability to work overtime when required
- Own reliable transport to and from work
- Perform function with mínimal supervision
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be able to organize work in urgency order
- Desk to be neat at all times
- Deadline is crucial and must be met
- Must be results driven and provide feedback timeously on reports
- Booking vehicles
- Submitting files to customs
- Managing the road manifest
- Sending pre alerts
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be able to organize work in urgency order
- Desk to be neat at all times
