**What you´ll do**

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager - as the Purchasing Officer you will manage and execute all purchases of raw materials and packaging requirements for the HNC production facility as well as for direct sales to customers.
Manage and execute all purchasing related activities within the purchasing cycle until supplied in full and closed off by ensuring a continuous flow of inbound materials to support the production plan and customer requirements.

**Your key responsibilites**
- ** Purchasing**:

- Create purchase requisitions and purchase orders for materials (direct and indirect), Market Ready Solutions, plant consumables and services
- Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for straights sales, order more materials when necessary
- Track orders placed, dispatched and incoming shipments, delivery arrival times, and note actual arrival details in SAP order line as per shared information
- Contact suppliers to schedule orders, expedite orders, to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries
- Ensures that all purchases are in compliance with regulations and laws related to purchasing practices and in accordance with DSM code of business conduct
- ** Inventory Management**:

- Manage the day-to-day stock replenishment for the straights and R&D warehouse
- Administer inventory including and not limited to min/max controls, safety stock methods and material ordering
- Administer forecasts for straight sales in conjunction with CSS, Account Managers and Regional purchasing team
- Historical sales performance analysis and reporting
- Monitors forecast performance reports for assigned product categories and customers as input to continuous improvement activities
- Championing preventative maintenance on materials in the Block & Restricted statuses in SAP
- ** Supply Chain**:

- To organize/follow up/monitor the logistics (including releases from planners) of all global orders DSM CSS and planners
- Submitting clearance documents to 3PL agents timeously
- Confers with agents on customs, port health and border police stops, assisting with necessary documentation as required
- Communicate inbound deliveries to warehouse to determine appropriate storage facility (internal or 3PL service providers)
- Month end GIT reporting

**You bring**
- Bachelor or Master degree in Logistics/Supply Chain/Procurement or a related field
- minimum 5 years of professional experience in any of this area of expertise
- advanced SAP Know-How
