Our client in Paarl is looking for an Assistant Farm Manager.

**Minimum requirements**:Relevant degree or diploma
**Experience required**:3 years’ experience in a similar position
Working conditions: The conditions will include working outdoors, regular evening and weekend work. Normal working hours will be based on operational requirements of the business.

**Experience & characteristics required for this role**:
Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
Enthusiastic, passionate.
Good observational and diagnostics skills
Excellent communication and ability to deliver clear and concise instructions.
Must be self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Good interpersonal skills
Attention to detail.

**Duties and Responsibilities include; but not limited to**:
Managing livestock for maximum productivity and quality
Monitor and maintain the health and condition of livestock.
Provides pastures and fodder to maintain appropriate nutritional levels.
Organize and conduct farming operations.
Direct and oversee general farming activities such as maintaining pens, sheds and cages, fertilizing, controlling pests and weeds, and growing fodder.
Maintain fences, equipment and water supply systems.
Organize the sale, purchase and transportation of livestock and produce.
Maintain and evaluate records of farming activities, monitoring market activity and planning production accordingly.
Train and supervise staff.
General maintenance of the facilities and maintenance of mechanical equipment
